Through his company, McCarthy contributes expertise to both traditional projects and those requiring innovative applications of engineering and technology. More than half his projects take place in the aquatic environment or at its land interface.

Mac McCarthy serves as a consultant to owners and contractors and as a subconsultant to engineers. Clients have retained him for the life span of specific projects or simply to contribute critical assistance to a single component. Although the duration of individual assignments may be short, McCarthy’s client relationships are typically long term.
